CNBC AWAAZ CRISIL Credai Real Estate Awards

Rohan has bagged two 'Best Practice Awards' at this year's prestigious CNBC AWAAZ CRISIL Credai Real Estate Honors.

These honors were bestowed on the Rohan Group for 'Highest Consumer Protection' and 'Best Project Execution'. Rohan was selected for this award after a rigorous two stage selection procedure. The Company has bagged 'Highest Consumer Protection' award on the same platform, consecutively for two years.

The CNBC AWAAZ CRISIL Credai Real Estate Award 2009 was graced by the presence of Kumari Selja - Minister of Tourism and Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Deepak Parekh - Chairman, HDFC. The ceremony was held in Dubai recently and was graced by Real Estate stalwart who came together to felicitate the excellence in the field.

AESA (Architects, Engineers & Surveyors Association, Pune) Awards

Another recent achievement by Rohan Builders & Developers Pvt. Ltd (RBDPL) was were the awards for the project Rohan Madhuban by AESA (Architects, Engineers & Surveyors Association, Pune).

They were also presented with 5 Certificates in the Group Housing Category namely, M/s Rohan Builders & Developers Pvt. Ltd. (Owner) with AESA Kumar Award 2010 in Group Housing category. M/s Rohan Builders & Developers Pvt. Ltd. (Constructor) was given the AESA Kumar Award 2010 in Group Housing category. Ar. Sanjay Mohe (Architect of M/s. Mindspace Architects) with AESA Kumar Award 2010 in Group Housing category.Er. Y.S. Sane (Structural Designer of M/s. J+W Consultants(Y.S. Sane Associates) with AESA Kumar Award 2010 in Group Housing category. M/s. Tierra Designs, Singapore (Landscape Designer) with AESA Kumar Award 2010 in Group Housing category.

The AESA award has been instituted to recognize excellence in the building industry. AESA's aim is not only to encourage, stimulate and inspire creativity in Architecture, Team work in Building Industry but also to generate greater architectural awareness in the Society. The AESA was founded in 1970. All the facets of the building industry comprising architects, civil engineers, contractors and structural consultants find representation in the AESA forum

Mr. Vinay bags the Praj Maha-Intrapreneur Award

Entrepreneurship, complemented by intrapreneurship,' will help achieve scales and will also facilitate full utilisation of potential of people in an organisation, said Nitin Paranjape, chief executive officer and managing director of the Hindustan Unilever Ltd on Saturday.

Speaking as chief guest at a function to give away the first Praj Maha-Intrapreneur Awards, Paranjape said Indian managers have the capability to go ahead and encouragement to intrapreneurs' who have capacities to work within the systems and processes will phenomenally increase the rate of an organisation's progress.

Tata Industries MD Kishor Chaukar, Praj Industries Chairman Pramod Chaudhari, Praj Industries CEO & MD Shashank Inamdar and Arun Mudbidri, director, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) were present for the function.

The awards have been instituted by Praj Industries in association with SIBM for rewarding the professionals who display intrapreneural' skills and qualities in their actions and results in their respective organisations. The SIBM is the knowledge partner in this initiative.

Former cabinet secretary B. G. Deshmukh was conferred a lifetime achievement award for his outstanding contribution in the civil administration services, while Visvanathan Balasubramanian, executive vice-president, Global Technology Services, Zensar Technologies Ltd, Vinay Shrishrimal, director, Rohan builders, Nitin Kothari, managing director, DSM Engineering Plastics India Pvt Ltd, K D Inamdar, vice-president, Effect Pigment Division, Sudarshan Chemical Industries, Sudam Bhondve, director, Educational Project Incharge, Deendayal Navrachna Pratisthan, and Hemant Abhyankar, director, Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, were awarded Intrapreneur' award in different categories.

Rohan Builders step-up their Eco-friendly policies, receive 5 star rating

Rohan Builders received a five star rating certification for Eco housing awarded by the SPTI for their coveted project Rohan Mithila at hands of Shri Mahesh Zagade, Hon. Commissioner of Pune today in a short function. The function was held at site of Rohan Mithila at Vimannagar today.

Also present for the function were Shri Prashant Waghmare, City Engineer of Pune. Dr. Rajendra Jagadale who is the Director General & CEO of Science & Technology Park Pune was also present on the occasion. Science & Technology Park are the authorized body to issue this certification.

The criteria like Site Planning, Environment Architecture, Efficient Building Materials, Energy Efficient Lighting, Solar Water Heaters, Water Conservation, Segregation of Waste and Other Innovative Technologies, are considered while awarding this provisional certification. Dr Jagdale was very appreciative of the steps taken by Rohan right from the designing stage to the maintenance stage. He mentioned that Rohan Mithila scored a high of 830 points on the above mentioned criterion out of 1000. This made the project eligible for a five star certification.

In his talk CMD of Rohan Group Shri Suhas Lunkad mentioned that every employee of Rohan is committed to adopt environment friendly measures. Through activities under the corporate mission of 'Sankalp' there are activities like Quality Circles on the sites and Eco friendly drives the company nurtures and promotes activities that are fall under Reduce (usage), Recycle, Renew & Reuse. These are the 4 R's that are the pillars of Environment friendly activities. In his speech Shri Lunkad congratulated the Pune Municipal Corporation for being the pioneers in taking a measure like rating for housing projects in Pune and to incentivize the same to encourage the construction fraternity to adapt the same.

The execution of the project Rohan Mithila will ensure measures that will Reduce the usage of resources like water, electricity, steel, fuel etc. Rohan Mithila will also have Renewed energy sources. The project also has provision for Recycling of water and waste.

The event was marked by many unique activities. The entire staff of Rohan Group collected Reusable clothes and donated them to the NGO- Intervida that runs a school for the children in the labor camp at Rohan Mithila. They also collected Paper and Plastic waste to be recycled. A signature drive to commit to tree plantation was also organized on this occasion.

In his speech Mr. Zagade who visited the site prior to the function said, "Rohan Group has merged & married the eco friendly measures in their business for which I congratulate the Group. This is Corporate Social Responsibility." He added, "we have to propagate energy conservation measures and now merge them in our building regulations" Shri Zagade also mentioned that we will have to eventually graduate to a level where we make these regulations compulsory. He appealed to all the patrons in the city and fall in line and take eco friendly measures like the ones taken in Rohan Mithila.
